For some years he devoted himself to tango music being one of the male exponents who has been able up to tango music a lot of young public that it had lost.
His tanguera career is recognized by the other singers and the public carrying out continuous presentations, in Buenos Aires, the interior of the country and abroad, reconciling in this way the orthodox tangueros with the young ones.
He has shared scenarios with Adriana Varela, Rubén Juárez, Lito Vitale, Javier Malosetti, Pugluiese, Raúl Lavie, María Graña, Lidia Borda, Color Tango Orchestra, among others. He is also a permanent guest of big bands of the national rock (Los Piojos and Bersuit) to sing Tango music.
In December, 2003 ND Ateneo (New Address in the Culture), Omar published “Mollo Tango” a CD which won "The Gardel Prize to the Music" as the best Artist Tango.
Later he made presentations in the ND Ateneo theatre. He sang in the International Tango Festival in Buenos Aires, Tango Festival in Bariloche, Tango Festival in La Falda, Tango and Folklore Festival in Baradero, Cosquin Rock (being a precedent in making classics Tango in a Festival of Rock), Theaters of the interior as the Real one, Lavarden, Reggio Theater, Torcuato Tasso, San Martin Theater, La Revuelta etc.
In September, 2004 he made a tour in Holland, presented himself in the Aude Kerk and the Panama Theatre, among others.
In February, 2005 in the 31st Tango and Folklore Festival he was granted the prize "Consecration 2005"
By the end of February, 2005 he began to record his new work under the musical direction of Carlos Buono sextet and it was edited by ND Ateneo.
May, 2005 presented himslef in Belgium, Holland and Spain.
